NMB Super App Opens New Opportunities for SMEs, Expands Digital Financial Services

DAR ES SALAAM – NMB Bank Chief Executive Officer, Ruth Zaipuna, has said the launch of the NMB Mkononi Super App has created new opportunities for customers, including enabling small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to apply for loans of up to TSh 5 million directly through their mobile phones.

Zaipuna said the achievement is the result of significant investments in technology made by the bank over the past five years to ensure its services meet international standards.

According to her, the Super App has been designed to meet the needs of the digital generation by allowing users to manage their finances anytime and anywhere.

She added that the platform has enhanced the management of social and economic groups by enabling users to open accounts, manage contributions, administer internal loans and access financial reports more transparently without the need for physical meetings.

The app has also introduced digital insurance services, including motor vehicle, motorcycle and fire insurance, making insurance products more accessible to Tanzanians.

Zaipuna noted that NMB, which serves more than 10 million customers, aims to transform the NMB Mkononi Super App into a comprehensive platform for financial and business services as part of its strategy to lead Tanzania’s digital financial services revolution.
