SAMIA'S CLEAN ENERGY AGENDA REACHES BEAUTY SALONS AS JOKATE, ORYX ENERGIES PARTNER TO DRIVE GREEN TRANSFORMATION

Kidoti Foundation founder Jokate Mwegelo has signed a partnership agreement with Oryx Energies aimed at empowering beauty salon owners across Tanzania to adopt clean energy solutions in their daily operations.
The collaboration marks a significant step toward promoting renewable energy use within the beauty industry while reducing reliance on conventional energy sources that may have negative environmental impacts.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Jokate said the initiative will equip salon owners with the knowledge and access to clean energy technologies that will improve business efficiency and lower operating costs.
"We want to see the beauty industry grow alongside environmental conservation. Through this partnership, we will empower salon owners to embrace clean energy that is safe, affordable, and environmentally friendly," she said.
Oryx Energies reaffirmed its commitment to working with various stakeholders to promote the adoption of clean energy across Tanzania as part of its contribution to sustainable development and environmental protection.
Stakeholders in the beauty sector welcomed the initiative, saying it will raise awareness about clean energy while creating new economic opportunities for small and medium-sized business owners.
The partnership is expected to benefit hundreds of salon owners nationwide by providing training, technical knowledge, and alternative energy solutions that will enable them to operate more efficiently while contributing to environmental conservation.
