TRA Plants 3,450 Trees Nationwide as Part of Environmental Conservation Drive

 



DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania – The Commissioner General of the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), Yusuph Mwenda, today led TRA employees in a nationwide tree-planting exercise, during which a total of 3,450 trees were planted across the country.

Mwenda officially launched the initiative by planting trees at Mnazi Mmoja Primary School in Dar es Salaam before similar activities were carried out by TRA staff in various regions nationwide.




The tree-planting campaign forms part of TRA's commitment to environmental conservation and efforts to combat the effects of climate change. It also aims to promote a culture of environmental responsibility among public institutions and the wider community.

Speaking during the launch, Commissioner General Mwenda emphasized the importance of tree planting and proper tree care, urging both TRA employees and the public to actively participate in protecting the environment for present and future generations.
